How to buy Pro for IT Managed Organizations
A guide for IT and procurement teams purchasing Enlighten Aquarium Pro licenses.
Choose the buying path that fits your team
Whether you're evaluating Aquarium for yourself or rolling it out more broadly, the purchase path should match how your organization buys software.
Step 1: Decide Ownership
You buy it
Purchase and assign to yourself or others. Only the purchaser/owner can assign licenses unless the owner is an admin.
IT/Procurement buys it
Recommended for larger teams. Tenant admins and License/User Admins can manage licenses for organizational purchases.
Step 2: Ask IT to Purchase
Ask IT to click “Buy now” on the Microsoft Marketplace Enlighten Aquarium listing and:
- Purchase under the correct tenant
- Confirm billing country and currency
- Add PO number if required
- Assign licenses in admin.microsoft.com > Billing > Licenses
Step 3: Get Your License Assigned
IT assigns your user account a license. You can check your assignment at admin.microsoft.com.
Refresh your report (F5 in Power BI Service) or restart Power BI Desktop to activate the Pro features.
Managing 10+ users? Consider a site license
Site licenses cover unlimited users in your organization at a flat annual fee — no per-user counting or license administration. IT teams benefit from:
- •Microsoft Certified — no infrastructure or security review required
- •Client-side only — data never leaves your Power BI environment
- •Zero deployment — no servers, no agents, no configuration
- •Publish to Web — embed dashboards externally (Business & Enterprise plans)
Secure site-license checkout powered by Lemon Squeezy
If you move from Marketplace licensing to a direct site license, checkout is encrypted and supports major card brands.

Microsoft Certified and client-side
Enlighten Aquarium is a Microsoft Certified Power BI Custom Visual, and your data stays inside your Power BI environment.
