Before you begin

You'll need:

A Microsoft work/school account in the tenant where you’ll use the visual (Your tenant is your organization’s Microsoft environment where users, licenses, and billing are managed.)
A payment method or invoice billing (if enabled by your organization)
Clarity on who will own the subscription (you or your IT/Procurement) Tip: If your organization manages licenses centrally, loop in IT early so they can purchase and assign licenses correctly.

Choose your purchase path

IT/Procurement buys: If IT/Procurement needs to buy the license, click here.
You buy: If you're allowed to purchase software directly, follow the steps below.

1. Open Marketplace
& click 'Buy now'

Go to the Enlighten Aquarium listing on Microsoft Marketplace. Make sure you signed in with your account for the correct tenant.
Click 'Buy now'. Do not click ‘Install free,’ as that installs the limited version. Pro features require selecting ‘Buy now.’

2. Confirm your billing country/region

Make sure the billing profile matches your country/region.
If it’s wrong, change the billing profile or create a new one with the correct country.
If you can’t change it, sign out and back in with the correct tenant/account, or ask your billing admin to set up the right profile.

Tip: Local currency is supported.

3. Select a plan

Click Professional.
Click the Next button (located at the bottom of the page).

4. Check out

Now you are ready to check out.

Select either 1-month or 1-year subscription plan
Select number of users (1-1,000,000)
To auto renew, keep the Auto Renew button toggled on
Click the Next button

5. Payment

Select a payment method or add a new card if needed.
Billing begins after the one-month free trial, with invoices issued within 24 hours of the trial ending (learn more about invoice timing).
Add a PO number (optional) under Billing Profile (add new, then enter PO).
Click the Place order button.

6. Complete purchase

You will see the "Starting Your Order" page.

When the order has finished, you will see a “Thank you for your purchase” page.
Stay on that screen until your order is placed. You’ll receive a subscription in Microsoft 365 admin center.
Click the Assign licenses button.

7. Assign the licenses

This will take you to Microsoft Admin Center - Licenses

If you’re the buyer, a license is auto-assigned to you within a few minutes. You only need to refresh your Power BI report (F5 in Power BI Service; restart Power BI Desktop).
To assign license to others, in the Product Name list, click Enlighten Aquarium.

8. Verify in Power BI

Open a report that uses the Enlighten Aquarium Pro visual and refresh (F5).
If the license was just assigned, wait up to 5 minutes and refresh again.
